International Admissions

A non-citizen applicant holding any temporary visa category issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is an international admission student.


  • Students must enroll in and complete at least 12 semester hours each regular term.
  • The State of Texas requires that each student complete placement testing.
  • Passing TOEFL scores - Internet-based (79), computer-based (213), paper-based (550) or Passing IELTS score (Academic): Overall Band Score (6.5).
  • A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 for students transferring from a college or university in the U.S.
  • A USCIS form I-134 is required if the student is sponsored by a current U.S. resident.
  • The student must pay all costs for international transcript evaluations provided by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).


Students are expected to pay all tuition and fees at the time of registration.

The College does not provide:

  • Financial assistance programs
  • Student housing
  • Public transportation

Applicants from outside U.S. are required to:

  1. Obtain a passport from their respective governments.
  2. Obtain a visa from the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
    • Must be accepted by a college or university to receive an F-1 visa.
    • After the student has been accepted, the International Admissions Office will issue a certificate of eligibility, form I-20.
    • Present form I-20 to the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for an F-1 visa.
