Transfer

An international student transferring from another institution of higher learning to TCC is a transfer international applicant.

Deadlines

  • Fall: July 15
  • Spring: November 15
  • Summer: April 15

How to Apply

All documents must be submitted by the deadline. We cannot guarantee admission for late submissions. No late registration. Registration ends one week before each session begins. We must have your SEVIS record transferred to us two weeks before registration ends. No fax or previously made photocopies will be accepted.

  1. Download the International Student Application (PDF will open in new window) and submit.
  2. Submit official transcripts from high school and/or all colleges/universities attended in and outside the U.S.
  3. Financial documents must be original, completely filled out, cannot be over six months old and accounts must have a minimum balance of $24,326 U.S. dollars.
    • Financial Statement (PDF will open in new window) - student completes
    • Sponsor Statement (PDF will open in new window) - sponsor completes
    • Bank Affidavit (PDF will open in new window) - sponsor's financial institution completes
    • Form I-134, Affidavit of Support (PDF will open in new window) - U.S. sponsor completes
      • Required if sponsor resides in the U.S.
    • Originals of I-94, passport, visa and current I-20 (The International Admissions Office will need to make copies from original documents).
    • TSI Assessment/THEA scores - Passing Reading AND Writing scores are required.
      • There is a $29 non-refundable fee for the TSI Assessment exam.
    • Transfer Notification (PDF will open in new window) - completed by the designated school official (DSO) of the International Office of your current college/university.
  4. Submit evidence of Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccination (if new to TCC and under 22 years old).

Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccination Requirement Beginning Spring 2012

The 82nd Texas Legislature approved Senate Bill 1107, which requires all new TCC students under the age of 22 to submit evidence of being immunized against meningococcal meningitis at least 10 days prior to their first term at TCC.

This requirement also applies to returning TCC students who have experienced a break in enrollment of at least one fall or spring term.

Before Registration

The documents below are required upon acceptance and before registration:

  • Proof of health insurance will be required before being allowed to enroll. Health insurance
    must be purchased for the entire academic year and must show the coverage dates. TCC does not provide health insurance.
  • A degree plan of the major you are pursuing at TCC.
  • myTCC is the email system used by TCC. You are required to obtain and use it as your official email address.
