Andy Wambsganss

Andy Wambsganss Andy Wambsganss holds many titles: accomplished attorney, entrepreneur, former judge, former Southlake mayor, goodwill ambassador, political advisor, volunteer. But there's one title that he treasures in a special way: TCC alum.

As Wambsganss notes in an article about him in the current issue of TCC's Projection magazine, his studies at TCC nurtured well-rounded development that has served him well.

Those who know him describe Wambsganss as a generous, caring person. Among the recipients, which range from civic and charitable organizations to individuals, is the TCC Foundation. "I stay involved with support for the TCC Foundation," Wambsganss told Projection. "TCC does great work with the resources they've got. I'm always happy to help out."

His altruistic nature mirrors that of his father who operated a Christian charity in Madrid, Spain. Wambsganss and his two brothers spent their childhood there. He discovered two passions - helping people and learning about politics. He finds law and politics to be compatible. Both involve service aimed at helping people.

Wambsganss appreciates that same spirit in TCC's approach to offering affordable, accessible, college-level education for everyone. And he applauds the quality, noting that his English classes at TCC were a match for any he took later as he earned a baccalaureate degree in English and political science from The University of Texas at Arlington. He earned his juris doctorate at UT-Austin.

Another parallel between Wambsganss and TCC emerges in Projection. As in his pursuits where "in life and in politics, I work diligently not to shut anybody out of the process" - TCC embraces all who enter. "TCC," he said, "is for all kinds of students."
