Graduation Honors

The GPA computation to determine honors counts only TCC courses and includes all coursework during the semester of graduation. A.A. and A.A.S. degree recipients must complete at least 30 semester hours in residence at TCC to qualify for honors. Certificate of completion recipients must complete at least 15 semester hours in residence. (2013-2014 Tarrant County College Catalog, page 46.)

High Honors 3.75 to 3.99
Honors 3.50 to 3.74

Certificate of Completion

Graduation with Distinction 3.5 or above

Spring 2014 Graduates: For the ceremony only, the honors designation on your name card is based on your completed coursework and cumulative TCC GPA through the fall semester. It is designed to recognize your achievement, but may (or may not) change when the GPA is computed with the final Spring 2014 grades.

Qualification for any of the above-listed honors designations is noted on your name card. If applicable, please pick up your honors cord at the specified table in the graduate staging area.
