Water and Wastewater Treatment

Water and Wastewater Licensed Operators perform a vital role in maintaining the quality of both the human population and the natural environment. They have the necessary technical knowledge and skills to carry out water and wastewater treatment solutions. The results prevent environmental problems that could negatively impact air, land and water quality.

Our Water and Wastewater Courses

Northwest Campus offers 2 certificates for the water and wastewater treatment industry within Tarrant County and throughout the Texas state area. In-service training is also available on campus or at an on-site facility.

All courses are approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the environmental licensing agency for the state of Texas.

The program courses are intended for:

  • Entry-level employees
  • Experienced operators who want to enhance their knowledge
  • Experienced operators who seek training credit hours toward license renewal

Our Program

Our Water and Wastewater Program is designed to provide students with the technical knowledge to competently perform in the water and wastewater utility industry. Graduates are eligible to apply and test for the appropriate TCEQ licensing exam providing all other TCEQ requirements are met.
