EKG Technician

Our Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician Program is a 64-hour course that prepares you to:

  • Perform quality diagnostic EKGs using12-lead EKG equipment
  • Recognize normal and abnormal EKG patterns

You will also learn:

  • Anatomy and physiology of the heart
  • Medical terminology
  • Medical ethics
  • Professionalism

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from TCC and will be qualified to take a national certification exam.

Course Requirements

  • Be 18 years old
  • Provide a copy of a high school diploma or GED
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Provide a copy of a healthcare provider CPR card
  • Pass reading and basic math tests prior to being accepted

You must attend an orientation session; it is mandatory for acceptance to the program.
