Medication Administration
Medication Administration is a 130-hour course that provides instruction in the procedures for preparation and administration of designated medications and associated responsibilities for non-licensed assistive nursing personnel employed in health care agencies licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.
Registration in and successful completion of this course do not guarantee that the student will be issued or eligible for a state Medication Aide permit. In addition, students must:
- Meet certain state requirements
- File certain information with and be approved by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services
- Successfully complete an examination administered by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.

- Reading and basic math tests are required for entry. Please call for test date three months before class starts
