Interior Decorating

Turn a sense of color and style into a career. Home Interior Decorating is a 60-hour program on that offers two certificate programs.

Home Interior Decorating Certificate Program

The Home Interior Decorating Certificate Program is designed for students who have an interest in turning their creative home design experience into a professional home decorating career.

This 60-hour certificate program will include the following topics:

• Intro to Interior Decorating (20 hours)
• Interior Decorating Fundamentals (40 hours)

Completing the certificate program:

• Participants must register and successfully complete Introduction to Interior Decorating before registering for the Fundamentals Class.
• Each participant will receive a framed certificate of completion after successfully finishing the coursework.

Home Interior Decorating Advanced Certificate Program

The Home Interior Decorating Advanced Certificate Program is designed for those students who successfully completed the Home Interior Decorating Certificate Program and who have an interest in fine tuning the creative and professional interior decorating skills. Professional interior decorators will serve as guest speakers and instructors.

This 40-hour certificate program includes the following topics:

• Small Spaces (8 hours)
• Floors and Walls (8 hours)
• Tips and Tools (12 hours)
• Practicum (12 hours) - Instructor will assist students in arranging mentorships with local designers and designer stores.

Prerequisite for the advanced certificate program is completion of the Home Interior Decorating Certificate Program.

Upholstery

• Prepares you in the fundamentals and intermediate techniques of upholstery
• Lets you use your own projects
• Teaches processes of upholstering, personal safety, care of machines and tools
