About the Plus 50 Initiative

The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) launched the Plus 50 Initiative to expand programs at community colleges for students 50 and older.

Plus 50 is designed to help baby boomers earn degrees or certificates in fields that give back (education, health care, social services) and are hiring.

Plus 50 Encore Completion Program at TCC

We are excited to be one of 100 community colleges in the nation to commit to preparing adults 50 and older for fulfilling encore careers, continued community service and meaningful, engaging life experiences.

The Plus 50 program is here to help prepare the many adults age 50 and over who find themselves out of work or seeking to transition to a new career.

With an emphasis on college completion, our program is designed to help Plus 50 adults earn degrees or certificates in the high demand fields of health care, education and social services.

Back to Work 50+

TCC is also partnering with the AARP Foundation in its Back to Work 50+ initiative

The goal is to make more services and resources available to 50+ job candidates and to help them access in-demand jobs in their communities.
