Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) general test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills that are not related to any specific field of study. It measures undergraduate achievement.

Admissions or fellowship panels use scores from the test to supplement undergraduate records and other qualifications for graduate study. The scores provide common measures for comparing the qualifications of applicants and assist in evaluating grades and recommendations.

TCC offers courses to prepare students in the following areas:

  • GRE Verbal - focuses on sentence completion, analogies, vocabulary, and reading techniques.
  • GRE Math - focuses on basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and various formulas.
