Journalism / Mass Communication

Core Curriculum and Field of Study for Journalism / Mass Communication is designed for students seeking a bachelor's degree with a major in journalism/mass communication.

The following set of courses is designed to apply to the bachelor's degree of Journalism / Mass Communication but may also be applied to the Bachelor of Arts or other baccalaureate-level Journalism / Mass Communication degrees as deemed appropriate by the awarding institution.

The field of study curriculum is furthermore intended to serve as a guide for community and technical colleges in structuring a transfer curriculum in Journalism/Mass Communication. Fields of study are valid only when no course substitutions are made.

Students should consult an academic advisor regarding transfer to a specific college or university.
