Airframe Maintenance and Electronics Technology

Career Coach buttonWe offer a highly advanced navigation and communication technology program designed to prepare you to enter the challenging field of avionics technology.

What do avionics technicians do?

Electronic components are now integral parts of aircraft design and have increased aircraft capability.

Avionics technicians repair and maintain the electronic components used for:

  • Aircraft navigation and radio communications
  • Weather radar systems
  • Instruments and computers that control flight, engine and other primary functions

About our program

Our Aircraft Electronics Line Maintenance Program will give you the electronics knowledge that Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanics need to better understand how avionics systems operate.

You can choose either:

  • An Associate of Applied Science Degree
  • A Certificate of Completion (best taken as a supplement to A&P training)

Our program is recommended for those who already hold a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe License because individuals must be licensed in order to work on any system installed on an aircraft.
