Rhapsody Movement Company

Rhapsody Movement Company is Southeast Campus's resident dance company.

Under the direction of Jamie Perrin, we have performed for the District Chancellor's Breakfast and TCC Southeast President's luncheon. We have also performed in conjunction with the company members of Velocity Dance Company from the South Campus, Dance for the Planet Festival in Dallas, and the American College Dance Festival.

Dance Works

All students enrolled in a dance class have the opportunity to take the stage with Rhapsody in the end-of-semester production of "Dance Works." The concert is held in the Roberson Theatre on the Southeast Campus.

Spring 2008 was the inaugural concert, and students performed only 1 night to a sold-out theater. Because of the rapid growth of dance on Southeast Campus, the concert has now expanded to 2 nights.

"Dance Works" gives members of Rhapsody, as well as all students participating in dance classes, an opportunity to perform.

Audition Requirements

  • At least 1 year of dance training in jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, contemporary or lyrical
  • Previous performance experience
  • Willingness to work outside of scheduled class time
