Student Transitions to College Success Course (STSC)

You are required to enroll in STSC if you are taking a Developmental Studies course.

STSC is a 1-hour non-degree-credit course to be taken during your first term in college.

STSC 1111 Transition to College Success

Teaches important skills to help students become ready for college and succeed. The skills learned will apply to all disciplines.

  • Self-regulation
  • Goal setting
  • Motivation
  • Education and career planning
  • Learning styles

STSC also covers study techniques:

  • Time management
  • Listening
  • Note taking
  • Text marking
  • Library and research skills
  • Preparing for examinations
  • Using learning resources
