Robotics and Automation Specialization

Career Coach buttonThe Electronics Technology Program's Robotics and Automation Specialization, offered on the South Campus, prepares students to become qualified robotics and automation technicians with a solid technical background and the manual skills to fabricate, test, install, operate, and maintain automated equipment.

Course topics include:

  • Robotic mechanisms
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Programmable logic controllers
  • Electromechanical devices
  • Basic electronics
  • Microprocessors
  • Robotics

Areas of Study

Students who successfully complete the two-year program earn an Associate of Applied Science degree.  Students may also choose to participate in a Certificate of Completion program that can be completed in less time.
