Critical Care Paramedic

Career Coach buttonThe Critical Care Paramedic course provides valuable education and training for those paramedics who care for the intensive care patient during inter-facility transports.


EMSP 2458 Critical Care Paramedic


Students must complete approximately eight hours of clinical rotations each week.


After meeting admission requirements to the College, students must:

  • Submit a Critical Care Paramedic Application form.
  • Be a practicing paramedic.
  • Be Certified or Licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
  • Have minimum two years experience, or be a currently enrolled student in the paramedic associate degree program.

This course is limited to 15 students who will be selected based on college grade point average.

Critical Care Paramedic application must be received by August 4.
