Program Application

The Paramedic Program is Selective Admissions, which means you have to meet certain requirements to apply. The grades you earned in school also figure into your eligibility in the Applicant Score.

Application Requirements

For your application to be considered, you must:

  1. Be accepted as a student to TCC

  2. Meet Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements (PDF will open in a new window)

    1. Pass the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) test for Reading, Writing and Intermediate Algebra
    2. Pass the TSI Assessment exam for Reading, Writing, and Intermediate Algebra

Applicant Score

Students who participate in the program are selected based on the Applicant Score.

Applicant Score = Cumulative Grade Point Average + Bonus Points

Bonus Points are assigned based on the grades you earned in school before applying to this program
