The ProgramThe Health Information Technology (HIT) program at TCC provides the academic preparation and the clinical experience required to train health information professionals to manage healthcare data and resources in a variety of healthcare settings.
The Health Information Management Profession encompasses planning, collecting, coding, aggregating, analyzing and disseminating individual patient and aggregate clinical data.
Our HIT Program is a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree fully accredited by the American Health Information Management Association’s (AHIMA) accreditation division (CAHIIM). Successful completion of the program allows our graduates to sit for the associate degree based certifications offered by AHIMA, including:
