Alternative Course Delivery Methods

Students admitted into the Nursing Program may have the option of enrolling in an online or video conference section.

Online Courses

Online sections may be available in the following nursing courses:

RNSG 1513 Foundations for Nursing Practice (hybrid course: 50% online; 50% face-to-face)
RNSG 2213 Mental Health Nursing
RNSG 2208 Maternal/Newborn Nursing and Women's Health
RNSG 2201 Care of Children and Families
RNSG 1443 Complex Concepts of Adult Health

Video Conference

Nursing courses are offered via video conference to those area hospitals that are in partnership with the TCC Nursing Department. This partnership assists area hospitals "to grow their own RNs."

In order to attend an audio conference course, the applicant must meet the following qualifications:

Be employed by John Peter Smith or Medical Center of Arlington.
Be approved by the hospital to receive educational benefits.
Be selected for admission by the Nursing Department (the admission requirements are the same for all students).
