Fast Track Option

The Fast Track Option is an online program for certified paramedics or licensed vocational nurses.

Students wishing to apply for the Fast Track Option must apply during the January/February application period for fall admission.

Eligibility requirements for the Fast Track Option include:

Acceptance into the TCC Nursing Program.
Certification/Licensure as an LVN or paramedic.

Credit-by-Exam

The purpose of this option is to shorten the completion time of the program from 24 to 15 months through the credit-by-exam process.

Credit for the following courses can be attained through the credit-by-exam process:

RNSG 1513 - Foundations for Nursing Practice
RNSG 1360 - Clinical - Foundations for Nursing Practice
RNSG 1105 - Nursing Skills

Applicants are encouraged to take the online preparatory course before scheduling an exam.
Enrollment for this course is done through Continuing Education on South Campus.

An applicant who has successfully passed the exam for all three courses will have earned a total credit of 9 semester hours and will be eligible to take RNSG 2213 Mental Health Nursing and RNSG 2263 Clinical - Mental Health Nursing starting the Summer II session.
