Distance Learning is currently conducting Blackboard conversion training for our online faculty. All courses must be converted from LogiCampus to Blackboard. We are making this conversion in phases, beginning with Fall 2011 courses. Faculty members have been approved by their deans, and will continue to be, for each training session.
Since Blackboard will be replacing both LogiCampus and CourseCruiser as the only learning management system, Distance Learning will also be training all other faculty members in Blackboard. Beginning in the Spring 2012 semester, we will offer training classes for instructors who teach only face-to-face classes. These training classes will cover basic Blackboard access and navigation as well as an introduction to the Grade Center and how to get to CampusCruiser email from the Blackboard environment.
Because we are focusing on conversion training at this time, we are not processing proposals for newly online courses or conducting training for new-to-online instructors. Any special requests critical to student or program success are being handled by email to the Interim Assistant Director of Distance Learning, Kelly Willing.
Faculty support options are provided on our Distance Learning Support page.
