Project Blackboard Updates
New Learning Management System - Blackboard Learn
We are pleased to announce that TCC has signed a contract with Blackboard to license its latest learning management system, Blackboard Learn. Our goal is for Blackboard Learn to eventually replace LogiCampus and CampusCruiser, bringing all online teaching and learning tools together in one system. We will continue to use CampusCruiser email for the foreseeable future.
A core team has been appointed to implement this new system Districtwide:
- Kevin Eason, Director of Distance Learning, Project Director
- Kelly Willing, Interim Assistant Director, Distance Learning, Project Manager
- Mary Robbins, Associate Vice Chancellor of Information Services
- Wade Couturiaux, Manager of Online Services, Distance Learning
- Donna Stallard, Manager of User Services, Information Services
- David Wissore, Manager of Online Services, District Webmaster
In addition, many of you throughout the District will be called upon to serve on committees and/or participate in focus groups to provide guidance to the core team as system options and services are planned and implemented.
Exciting and challenging times are ahead of us as we anticipate converting our existing systems to Blackboard Learn during 2011-2012.
