First Time In College

Is this your first time in college?

If so, then you are a first-time-in-college (FTIC) student.

Even if you were enrolled in a dual-credit program in high school and then graduated, you are still considered a FTIC student when you enroll as a full-time student at TCC.

How do I get started?

Start by signing up for New Student Orientation (NSO) and the Student Transition to Success Course (STSC).

  • Learn about resources that are essential to your success as a college student
  • Connect with faculty, staff and other students
  • Get to know your campus

New Student Orientation (NSOR 0010) is mandatory if you are an FTIC student.

Transition to College Success Course (STSC 0111) is mandatory if you are an FTIC student who is TSI liable. STSC 0111 is designed to help in your journey toward college success!
