Student IDs are free and available at the Copy Center on each campus.
Student parking permits are free and issued by Campus Police on each campus.
You can get your parking permits as soon as you register and pay for their classes. To avoid waiting in long lines, obtain your parking permit and student ID before classes begin.
The permit expiration date is printed on the parking permit. Keep the permit until the expiration date to avoid having to pay a $5 permit replacement fee. You must renew your parking permit after it expires. Parking permits are valid on all campuses; however, if you attend classes on the Trinity River Campus, you must get your parking permit stamped by the Trinity River Campus Police.
The owner of the parking permit is responsible for parking violations received by a vehicle bearing his or her permit.
Permits for Continuing Education students are issued by the Registrar on each campus.
Vehicles bearing handicap parking identifiers are not required to have student or faculty/staff permits.
Motorcycles are not required to have parking permits, but are required to park in areas designated for motorcycle parking.
In keeping with TCC’s commitment to sustainability, parking spaces for Low Emissions and Hybrid Vehicles have recently been installed at Southeast Campus.
To ensure that these spaces are used properly, vehicles parked in these areas must either be a hybrid or meet the LEED definition of a Low Emissions Vehicle:
Vehicles that are either classified as Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) by the California Air Resources Board or have achieved a minimum green score of 40 on the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy
Students, faculty, staff or guests parking in these spaces without meeting the guidelines will be fined.
Parking signs tailored for such vehicles read:
