College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

If you want to earn college credit by exhibiting mastery of a college subject, you can participate with the College Level Examination Program.

General Information

• All TCC Test Centers administer CLEP exams.
• CLEP exams are administered by appointment only.
• TCC gives credit for CLEP exams and allows up to 18 semester hours to be earned.
• A CLEP exam may not be taken for any course in which you are currently enrolled.
• Official results can take up to four weeks.

Exam Fees

• $77 CLEP exam fee (July 1, 2012: The fee will increase to $80)
• $15 TCC administration fee
• $25 transcript posting fee (per course)

Retesting Information

• There is a six-month waiting period for retesters.
• The exam fee and administration fee must be repaid.
