Transfer to TCC from a Different School
To transfer to TCC, follow these steps:
Step 1: Complete application for admission
If you have never attended TCC, you have to apply for admission.
You must provide proof of Texas residency.
View Current Course Offerings.
Step 2: Submit proof of meningitis vaccination (required for all students under the age of 22)
Step 3: Submit an official transcript from all colleges / universities attended
Request a transcript evaluation after TCC receives all of your transcript(s). A transcript evaluation is not required for admissions or registration.
A transcript evaluation is required for financial aid, veterans benefits and specialized programs.
For prerequisite overrides, contact the department for your course to receive help with registering.
To request a transcript evaluation, you must:
- Log in to WebAdvisor
- Go to the Student Menu
- Go to the Academic Links section
- Select Transcript Evaluation Request
Step 4: Submit Texas Success Initiative (TSI) documentation
Documentation refers to your official college transcript including test scores, exemption or completion.
If your college transcript does not show TSI exemption, an official high school transcript with SAT, ACT, TAKS, or STAAR test scores is required.
Note: TSI documentation (scores or exemption) is required for registration purposes; it is not an admission requirement.
Step 5: Take assessment testing, if you do not have sufficient TSI documentation

Step 6: Meet with an Advisor—now and later
You should meet with an academic advisor—before registration begins—to discuss:
- Options for class registration
- Proof of pre-requisites in the areas of reading, writing and math
You must submit a grade report or unofficial transcript in order to set up prerequisites before registration.
During on-site registration, an advisor's signature on the enrollment form is required.
Note: You will be required to meet with an academic advisor after completing 15 credit hours.
Step 7: Register through WebAdvisor
If you are a current student, you can log in using your current WebAdvisor user name.
