CruiserAlert

TCC faculty, staff and students can subscribe to CruiserAlert, the College’s urgent text and email notification system.

This Web-based service sends high-priority text messages directly to mobile during urgent situations.

Opt in to the service online now through CampusCruiser. Each individual can select his or her preferred mobile phone and email contact information for alerts on his or her CampusCruiser.

How to Sign up for CruiserAlert

  1. Go to CampusCruiser .
  2. Log in with your user ID and password (same as that of WebAdvisor).
  3. If it is the first time you have logged into CampusCruiser since the availability of CruiserAlert, a pop-up screen will appear. Select “Set up my Mobile Profile now.”
If it is not the first time, or you have not selected “Remind me later,” go to the “MyCruiser” tab and select “My CruiserAlert” in the menu bar.
  4. Select “Add Phone Number” to enter your mobile phone number, and select a mobile carrier in the designated drop-down menu.

More about CruiserAlert

  • The alert service is currently available and will be used in emergency situations, including campus closings.
  • Alerts will appear as other text messages normally do on your device. The message will be sent by TCC officials and inform you of the situation status.
  • Any time you log in to CampusCruiser, you can edit your alert profile through the “MyCruiser” tab and make changes to your preferences under “My CruiserAlert.”
  • While not mandatory, a text message will very likely be the most convenient, immediate and reliable way to receive an alert during an emergency situation. Notifications will still be available through the main TCC phone line, TCC Web site and CampusCruiser.
  • The cost of the text messages will be handled as others are, according to your carrier and plan. Aside from that, there is no additional fee.
  • Within the “MyCruiser” tab in CampusCruiser, you can go to “My CruiserAlert” in the menu bar to see step-by-step directions through the “CruiserAssist” button, located at the top left under the menu bar, which opens a Flash video.
