We offer both open admission and special admission programs in dietetics and nutrition.
Open Admission Programs: Nutrition Certificates
(No application is required)
- Food & Nutrition Coach (43 Semester Hours)
- Nutrition Specialist I (15 Semester Hours)
- Healthy Meal Planning (9 Semester Hours)
These certificates are also part of the curriculum requirements of the Dietetic Technician Program. You may choose to complete one or two certificates before to applying to the Dietetic Technician Program.
If you are interested in pursuing these certificates, declare the certificates as your major(s) during TCC application process or through WebAdvisor.

Our Dietetic Technician Program is accredited by Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics and is the only accredited Dietetic Technician program in Texas.
Our Dietary Manager Certificate Program is approved by the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals.
The mission of the Dietetics program is to train and produce competent entry-level dietetics and nutrition professionals to meet the increased nutritional needs of the community and the demand of the workforce.
