Speaker to address adversities

Overcoming Obstacles to Success, a motivational speech, will help NW Campus celebrate Black History Month next week.
Brenda Anderson Parker of Mountain Movers Unlimited, Inc., will speak Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. in the NW Theatre.
Parker, president of Mountain Movers Unlimited, Inc., has more than 30 years’ experience in business management, public relations and professional speaking. She serves as educational director at her community church and has earned several awards, including Distinguished Alumni of the Year from Southern University at New Orleans, which was presented to her in Washington, D.C.
Parker is currently working on her master’s degree in human relations and business at Amberton University in Garland.
Parker offers several seminars and speeches covering topics such as teamwork building, attitude in the workplace, personal finances and communication skills.
The Department of Revenue and Taxation praised a recent presentation given by Parker.
“Brenda’s presentation was delivered with much enthusiasm and confidence. The information was very stimulating and thought-provoking,” a department representative said.
