NE Campus
Today-Feb. 27 Toward a Better Living for Rural Texas Blacks, 1930-1960,
a traveling photographic exhibition, is on display in the North Hallway
of the Student Center. The exhibit pays tribute to the black Texans
who worked with county and home demonstration agents to improve their
standards of living.
Today Ted Williams, criminal civil trial attorney, will present I Believe
I Can Fly 12:30-1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served. Check with student activities
at 817-515-6644 for availability.
NW Campus
Today Brenda Parker, a motivational speaker, will present Overcoming
Obstacles to Success from 11 a.m. to noon in the NW Theater. Parker
is president of Mountain Movers Unlimited, Inc. in Dallas.
South Campus
Today-Feb. 29 Blacks in the Armed Forces, a photo panel exhibit, pays
tribute to black military units, including the Civil War, Buffalo Soldiers
and Tuskegee Airmen.
Feb. 26 Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts will be presented by the Rev.
Dr. Janes Hood of Jerusalem Baptist Church 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the SSTU
Texas Room.
Feb. 27 Gospelfest will feature performances by local and area gospel
groups at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall.
SE Campus
Today Historically Black College/University Recruiting Fair will be
hosted in the Main Commons from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday SE Campus Food Services will serve soul food.
