Officer Chandler Robinson of the MOC police department
was named recipient of the Larry W. Fultz Memorial Award for Excellence
presented by the Texas Association of College and University Police
Administrators during its conference in December. Chief Frank Buchanan
presented the award to Robinson during a luncheon with MOC police personnel.

Today The NE Astronomy Club will hold a bake sale in
the NTAB lobby between classes.
Today Be Good to Your Family, the second seminar in
the Feeling Good about You and Me series, will be presented in the Lecture
Hall ESEE 1301 noon-12:45 p.m.
Today NW Campus health services is offering free hearing
screenings to the first 25 people who schedule a screening. Screenings
are conducted by Heritage Health Concepts 10 a.m.–3 p.m. in the
biofeedback room of the counseling office. Call 817-515-7790 for appointment.
Ongoing A food and toiletries drive sponsored by Phi
Theta Kappa on NE Campus and benefiting N.E.E.D. (Northeast Emergency
Distribution) offers drop off locations across NE campus. NTAB, NACB,
NBSS, NSCI and NSTU lobbies are drop off locations. Items needed include
non-perishable food, sugar-free Jello, jellies and jams. Also needed
are shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and toilet paper. Shaving
products, soap-laundry, dish and bath as well as diapers of all sizes
are needed.
Feb. 27 NE Campus New Games bowling will meet at Show
Place Lanes at 1 p.m. for free bowling.
Feb. 28 NE Campus Astronomy Club will sponsor a Star
Party at 6:30 p.m. on the lawn between the Science, Fine Arts and HPE
buildings. Students and the general public are invited to come see deep
sky objects and planets. Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and the moon can
be seen with various telescopes. The lecture will start at 6:30 p.m.
on a subject to be determined.
March 1 Students can learn how to overcome their fear
of math by attending Subtract Fear, Multiply Confidence on the NE Campus.
This seminar will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in NTAB 2203C.
March 2 South Campus intramural activities deadline
for participation in the March Madness three-point shoot out and free
throw competition is today. Play begins March 18 with the championship
rounds March 30.
March 2 Students can learn how to take notes correctly
in Effective Note Taking: Getting the Most out of What the Instructor
Says. This seminar will be held on the South Campus in the SSTU Texas
Room 12:30-1:30 p.m.
March 2 Catherine Simpson, director of Women’s
Business Center of Fort Worth, will present Entrepreneurial Expo 2004.
Simpson will discuss what it takes to be an entrepreneur on South Campus
in the SSTU Living Room 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
March 2 & 4 Career and employment services will
offer free resume critiquing assistance in ESEE 2103B-S Tuesday 8-11:30
a.m. and Thursday 2-5 p.m.
March 3 The TCC Computer User Group will hold its How
To special interest group meeting on South Campus 1-3 p.m. in the SSTU
Living Room. There will be door prizes for members, but anyone can attend.

March 3 Positive Self-Talk will be presented on South
Campus in the SSTU Forum Room 6-6:45 p.m. The director of South Campus
health services, Flo Stanton, will present.
March 3 Be Good to Your Brain, a seminar on how eating
right can improve learning power, will be presented in the Lecture Hall
ESEE 1301 from noon to 12:45 p.m.
March 4 Students can learn ways to organize and manage
their time effectively with Time Management. This workshop, sponsored
by the counseling center, will be on the NE Campus 12:30-1:50 p.m. in
College Hall (NCAB 1111).
March 5 The Organization of Latin American Students
on NE Campus is sponsoring a Battle of the Bands in the NSTU Center
Corner 7 p.m. First, second and third place winners will be named. Contact

March 9 Students should take plenty of resumes to the
Arlington Convention Center MAC3 Job Fair 10-4 p.m. Parking is $5 and

March 12 The Women in New Roles program from all four
campuses will have a booth at the Entrepreneur Expo 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in
the Fort Worth Convention Center. Students from all campuses are invited
