NE, South look for athletes

Students looking for something to do in the next couple of weeks can head to the gym for some free sports activities.
NE Campus students and staff will find free bowling at Showplace Lanes in Bedford Friday, Feb. 27.
To register, participants should show up at 12:45 p.m.; games begin at 1 p.m. For more information, call Joy Thetford at 817-515-6959.
For South Campus students, the March Madness basketball competition begins Tuesday, March 2. It will consist of both a free-throw competition and a three-point competition.
Qualifying rounds last until March 18. They take place in the gym in the Health Physical Education building when the gym is open and when someone is there to supervise the contestants.
The qualifying rounds are based on a percentage of shots made, and the top four individuals will continue on to the Final Four Championship March 30.

Although it may be too late to sign on as a participant, spectators can cheer on their team at the Latino Student Union vs. Faculty/Staff soccer game. The action begins at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, on South Campus.
