Picasso exhibit to end

The four-month-old Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas concludes its special exhibitions program with Picasso: The Cubist Portraits of Fernande Olivier.
Approximately 25 works in the mediums of painting, drawing and sculpture are on display through May 9.
Most notable as a painter, Picasso was also one of the 20th century’s most ground-breaking sculptors, greatly influencing the evolution of sculptural thought.
The exhibit offers a rare opportunity to view a central theme expressed in two-dimensional art and sculpture.
Three versions of Picasso’s 1909 sculpture Head of a Woman highlight the exhibit.
The exhibit was organized by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., which currently has the only Nasher tour date scheduled.
The Nasher Sculpture Center is open Thursday through Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for students and free for members and children under 12.
The price of admission includes an audio tour.
