continue at TCC

   Students can head to the gym for some free sports activities during the next few weeks.
   March Mania will start Saturday, March 27, for SE Campus students. This basketball league will hold games on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the gym. It is a 3-on-3 competition with a tournament on Saturday, April 17, to determine the champions.
   Registration is being held now through Thursday, March 18, in the gym. Participants can sign up as a team (no more than five players per team) or as a free agent. Free agents will attend the Captain’s meeting Monday, March 22, and will have the opportunity to join teams. For questions, call Jason Wooten at 817-515-3611.
   For South Campus students, the March Madness basketball competition began yesterday. It consists of both a free-throw competition and a three-point competition.
   Qualifying rounds last until Thursday, March 18. They take place in the gym in the SHPE building when the gym is open and when someone is there to supervise the contestants. The qualifying rounds are based on a percentage of shots made. The top four individuals will move to the Final       Four Championship Tuesday, March 30.
   Sign-up is at the checkout counter in the SHPE building anytime between now and March 18. For questions, call Scott Clark at 815-515-4543.
   Students on NW Campus will find several opportunities for intramurals this month. For all of the events, registration will be in the WHPE building and must be completed by the Friday before the activity starts.
   Flag football begins Monday, March 22, and will last until Monday, April 5. Tennis singles start Wednesday, March 17, with a tournament Friday, March 19.
   It is too late to register, but spectators can watch the volleyball tournament beginning today. In addition, basketball playoffs begin Thursday, March 4. For more details or questions, contact Terry Arnold at 817-515-7689.
   The next NE Campus NEW Games event is racquetball Friday, March 26. Interested participants should meet at the racquetball courts at 12:45 p.m. for sign-up. Play begins at 1 p.m. No preregistration is required.
