Ongoing A food and toiletries drive sponsored by Phi
Theta Kappa on NE Campus and benefiting N.E.E.D. (Northeast Emergency
Distribution) offers drop off locations across NE Campus. NTAB, NACB,
NBSS, NSCI and NSTU lobbies are drop off locations. Items needed include
non-perishable food, sugar-free Jello, jellies and jams. Also needed
are shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and toilet paper.
Shaving products and laundry, dish and bath soap as well as diapers
of all sizes are needed.
Today-March 25 Degree Planning Transferring Made Easy will help students
with the transferring process. The seminar will be presented on NE
Campus in College Hall (NCAB 1111) from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on
Wednesday and from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
Today Texas Tech University will be on the NE Campus from 9:30 a.m.
to 12:30 p.m. in the NTAB Lobby.
March 25 Students can get guidelines on how to develop a professional
looking resume at a seminar called Resume Writing presented in South
Campus SSTU Texas Room from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
March 25 & 26 Rick Bass, the NE Campus Living Literature guest
speaker, will read from his collection of essays in the NSTU Center
Corner 7 p.m.-8 p.m. on both evenings.
March 26 Students can sign up for NEW-U racquetball. Competition that
begins at 12:45 p.m. at the courts on NE Campus.
March 29 A Forensics Work-shop, Right Art/Left Science Brain Come Together,
will be presented in the NSTU Center Corner from 8-11 a.m. Forensics
artist Suzanne Baldon will share experiences and hands-on methods.
It is the first of three parts.
March 29 Career Decision Making, a seminar to help students with career
choices will be presented on NE Campus in NCAB 1111, 12:30-2 p.m.
March 30 A Forensics Workshop discussion and hands on composite sketching
will be held in the NFAB 1313 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
March 30 Dress for Success, a seminar on how to make a good impression
with attire, will be presented on South Campus in the SSTU Texas Room
from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
March 30 Part 1 of a two-part series called ABCs To Success: Setting
Goals and Making the Right Decisions will be presented on South Campus
in the SSTU Texas Room. The seminar will be presented 12:30-1:30 p.m.
and again on April 13 at the same time and place.
March 31 The final in a series of forensics workshops with slides,
discussion and hands-on reconstruction will be presented in NSTU Galley.
March 31 Strategies for Accep-tance to Medical, Dental, Veterinary
and Pharmacy Schools will be presented on NE Campus in College Hall
(NCAB 1111) 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
April 1 The NE Campus Student Success Workshops will present What is
a Learning Disorder in College Hall (NCAB 1111) 12:30-1:30 p.m.
April 2 A NEW-U wellness activity is miniature golf and it can be played
free only today at 1 p.m. at Mountasia.
April 2 National AFV Day Odyssey will be held on South Campus in the
Automotive Building from noon to 7 p.m. Visitors can see alternative
fuel vehicles on display and learn how they can own one.
April 2 The NE College Democrats will meet in the NSTU Galley at 2:30
p.m.
April 6 South Campus Student Success Seminars will present Self-Love & Self
Esteem Leads to Self-Empowerment in the SSTU Texas Room 12:30-1:30
p.m.
April 6 South Campus financial aid director Jolynn Sprole will present
Financial Aid for College Success in the SSTU Living Room from 11:15
a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
April 7 Laughing Your Way Through Stress will be presented by Flo Stanton,
director of Health Services. The seminar will be presented on South
Campus in the SSTU Forum Room from 6 to 6:45 p.m.
April 8 South Campus intramural faculty/staff softball game is played

April 8 Minimizing your Regis-tration Frustration will be presented
twice today on the NE Campus. Both workshops will be held in College
Hall (NCAB 1111) with the first workshop at 12:30-1:30 p.m. and the
second at 5:45-6:45 p.m.
April 13 The NW Campus career and employment services is sponsoring
a job fair 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in WSTU 1303 and 1305. Interested students
should take several copies of their resumes.
April 15 Here To Hire Job Fair will be on the NE Campus in the NSTU
Center Corner from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students should take updated resumes.
April 18 The Rho Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on South Campus will
hold a silent auction at its induction ceremony in the Rotunda at 3
p.m. Local restaurants and stores such as Mikasa, Coffee Beanery and
Victoria’s Secret have donated items for the auction. Anyone
can make a bid.
