Love poster child for stupid acts

A day after she beaned a fan with a microphone stand, rock hellion Courtney Love injured a photographer when she dove off a concert stage.
Freelance shutterbug Dara Kushner was knocked down during the Thursday night show and was rolled out of the Bowery Ballroom on a stretcher.
Kushner spent several hours in the Beth Israel Medical Center emergency room before being released with a bruised and swollen neck.
“ The cops asked her if she wanted to press charges, and I guess she wasn’t in a state of mind where she wanted to make that decision,” Kushner’s boss, Chris Doherty of Insight News & Features photo agency, said.
Earlier that evening, Love bared her breasts to David Letterman on his Late Show and spent six hours in a police station lockup on a misdemeanor assault rap for the mike stand incident.
All of this comes on top of her troubles in Los Angeles, where she’s facing felony drug charges and fighting for custody of her 11-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.
Her skanky image has even die-hard fans debating whether Love, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is losing her mind and abusing drugs.
Industry watchers said Love has definitely damaged her career, but might be able to salvage it if she cleans up her act.
“ She’s just battling her demons right now. I think the fans will look past the demons to see the talent underneath,” Max Tolkoff, with the trade magazine Radio & Records, said.
Love needs to rein in her behavior because stars are role models to people, especially children.
Our stars continue to let us down with their outrageous behavior.
We have too often heard the pitiful cries from stars who lose control, and we are continuously asked to forgive them their sins.
Then, when these celebs want something from us or want us to support their points of view, they simply walk to the microphone and demand attention.
But these celebrities fail to remember that their fans do not so quickly forgive their actions and failings.
   Do we need a list?
Michael Jackson, just to name one of the celebrities in hot water, may never recover his status, despite what happens in his upcoming trial. And the list keeps growing.
Whitney Houston is undergoing drug rehab; her husband was released from jail this week, but Whitney was not there to welcome Bobby Brown home. On the way out the jail, Brown thanked his wife for her love and support. Perhaps he should stop beating the crap out of her.
So Love is not the only one making headlines in the entertainment section.
Many people feel sorry for celebrities and excuse their action because the spotlight burns so brightly.
These celebrities have choices just as we all do, and they should pay for those bad choices just as we do.
