Today-April 17 SE Campus presents Pulse, a sample
of contemporary approaches to art in the Art Corridor II.
Ongoing A food and toiletries drive sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa on
NE Campus and benefiting N.E.E.D. (Northeast Emergency Distribution)
Drop off locations are in NTAB, NACB, NBSS, NSCI and NSTU. Items needed
include non-perishable food, sugar-free Jello, jellies and jams. Also
needed are shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and toilet
paper. In addition, shaving products and laundry, dish and bath soap
as well as diapers also are needed.
Today A Forensics Workshop with slides, discussion and hands on reconstruction
will be presented on NE Campus in NSTU Center Galley 8-11 a.m. .
Today Strategies for Acceptance to Medical, Dental, Veterinary and
Pharmacy Schools will be presented on NE Campus in College Hall, NCAB
1111, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
April 1 An internationally known Irish poet, Desmond Egan, will speak
at 9:30 a.m. in the Performing Arts Theater, SPAC 1211, on South Campus.
April 1 The NE Campus counseling center will present What is a Learning
Disorder? in College Hall, NCAB 1111, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
April 2 The NEW-U wellness program in offering free miniature golf.
Meet at 12:45 p.m. at Mountasia across from NE Campus; play will begin
at 1 p.m.
April 2 National AFV Day Odyssey will be held on South Campus in the
Automotive Building from noon to 7 p.m. Visitors can see alternative
fuel vehicles on display and learn how they can own one.
April 2 The NE College Democrats will hold an organizational meeting
in NSTU Galley 2:30 p.m.
April 6 South Campus counseling center will present Self-Love & Self
Esteem Leads to Self-Empowerment in the SSTU Texas Room 12:30-1:30
p.m.
April 6 South Campus financial aid director, Jolynn Sprole, will present
Financial Aid for College Success in the SSTU Living Room from 11:15
a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
April 7 Laughing Your Way Through Stress will be presented by Flo Stanton,
director of health services. The seminar will be presented on South
Campus in the SSTU Forum Room 6-6:45 p.m.
April 8 South Campus intramural faculty/staff softball game is played

April 8 The SE Campus will hold a Crime Prevention Fair from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m. in the visitors parking lot and in the main commons area.
Police departments from the Metroplex will be there, and a helicopter
will be on display. Students interested in being certified as a police
officer or firefighter can get information.
April 8 Minimizing your Registration Frustration will be presented
twice today on the NE Campus. Both workshops will be held in College
Hall, NCAB 1111, with the first workshop at 12:30-1:30 p.m. and the
second at 5:45-6:45 p.m.
April 13 The NW Campus career and employment services is sponsoring
a job fair 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. in WSTU 1303 and 1305. Interested students
should take several copies of their resumes.
April 14 All the WINR Jazzzzzzzzzz Concert will feature the South Campus
Jazz Combo under the direction of Rick Sitzel and the TCC Dancers under
the direction of Staussa Ervin. WINR students from all campuses will
participate. The concert is 7:30– 8:45 p.m. in the Recital Hall,
SREC 1110.
April 14 NE Campus will present Investigate Your Career Process, a
workshop for students looking for a career, in College Hall, NCAB 1111,
12:30-1:30 p.m.
April 15 Music Therapy—Music and Healing, presented by Dr. Nicki
Cohen, Texas Woman’s University music therapist, will be at 2
p.m. in the Recital Hall, SREC 1110.
April 15 Here-To-Hire Job Fair will be on the NE Campus in the NSTU
Center Corner 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Students should have copies of updated
resumes.
April 15 Interpersonal Communication will be presented by Bill Smith
and WINR in the WACB Optimum Room on NW Campus 12:30-1:30 p.m.
April 18 The Rho Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on South Campus will
hold a silent auction at the induction ceremony in the Rotunda at 3
p.m. Local restaurants and stores such as Mikasa, Coffee Beanery and
Victoria’s Secret have donated items for the auction. Everyone
is welcome to bid.
April 20 How To Write a Cover Letter, will be presented on South Campus
in the SSTU Texas Room 2-3 p.m.
April 21 SE career and employment services will sponsor the Need–A-Job/Get-A-Job
fair in the Main Commons from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
