NE wellness puttering along

Putt Putt golf is the next wellness games event for NE Campus this week.
As part of the NEW U wellness program, students, faculty, staff and administrators can participate in miniature golf Friday, April 4, at 12:45 p.m.
Marty Martin, assistant professor of health and physical education, said participants should meet at Mountasia, across from campus, at 12:45 p.m.
Participants will play two rounds. One round will be with their own ball, and in the second round, they will match up with a partner and play scotch doubles.
"The scores from the first round will determine who the partners are for the second round. The partners will take turns hitting the ball and keep one score," Martin said. The college will pay for the competition.
"We are not emphasizing winning and competition as much as we just want the students to get to know each other and have fun," he said.
Participants must bring an ID card in order to play.
"This event is for students to come out and have fun," he said.
