South to open campus doors to community

South Campus will promote various programs and its facilities at a community open house Saturday, April 5.
"The open house is a time to make people aware of the educational opportunities on our campus," Charles Huber, student activities director, said.
Organizers expect 700-1,000 guests to take part in the activities.
Entertainment will be provided by various community organizations. Cherlyn Reese, a South Campus student, will read poetry that she has written.
Other entertainment will be displayed by the South Hills and South Campus drama groups, Saginaw Mustang Steppers, TCC Voices United, the Girl Scouts, the gospel group Reveille and many more.
Along with the entertainment, free refreshments and childen's activities will be held outside on the patio.
Informational booths, career advising and financial aid information will be held indoors. Tours of the facility also will be conducted.
The open house is a family event, Huber said.
"This isn't just for future students. We encourage current students to bring their families to the open house," he said.
The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, contact student activities at 817-515-4553.
