The WINR network held its 15th anniversary luncheon April 3. Carol Hunsberger spoke on The Dream Fulfilled—Coming Full Circle.


The NE Campus College Bowl team of Zach Davidson, Scott Williams, Kevin Hill and David Kurth, along with the NW Campus team of Jared Beaty, Justin Hunter and Marquita Martin, represented TCC at the College Bowl Regional Championship Tournament in Houston in February. TCC was the only two-year college represented at the tournament, and the teams placed 12th overall.



SE dietetics students represented TCC at the Texas Dietetic Association Conference in Dallas. Samantha Powell, coordinator of the TCC dietetics program, reported that a highlight of the conference was meeting the president of the national association.



Today-April 17 SE Campus presents Pulse, contemporary approaches to art, in the Art Corridor II.

Ongoing Phi Theta Kappa on NE Campus is sponsoring a food and toiletries drive benefiting N.E.E.D. (Northeast Emergency Distribution), Drop off locations are in NTAB, NACB, NBSS, NSCI and NSTU. Items needed include toiletries and non-perishable food, sugar-free Jello, jellies and jams as well as dish and bath soap and diapers.

Today All the WINR Jazzzzzzzzzz Concert will feature the South Campus Jazz Combo under the direction of Rick Sitzel and the TCC Dancers under the direction of Staussa Ervin. The concert is 7:30– 8:45 p.m. in the Recital Hall, SREC 1110.

Today NE Campus will present Investigate Your Career Process, a student workshop, in College Hall, NCAB 1111, 12:30-1:30 p.m.

April 15 Music Therapy—Music and Healing, presented by Dr. Nicki Cohen, Texas Woman’s University music therapist, will be at 2 p.m. in the Recital Hall, SREC 1110.

April 15 Here-To-Hire Job Fair will be on NE Campus in the NSTU Center Corner 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Students should have copies of updated resumes.

April 15 The NE Campus counseling center will present What is a Learning Disorder? in College Hall, NCAB 1111, 1-2 p.m.

April 15 Interpersonal Communication will be presented by Bill Smith and WINR in the WACB Optimum Room on NW Campus 12:30-1:30 p.m.

April 18 The Rho Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on South Campus will hold a silent auction at the induction ceremony in the Rotunda at 3 p.m. Local restaurants and stores such as Mikasa, Coffee Beanery and Victoria’s Secret have donated items for the auction. Everyone is welcome to bid.

April 20 How To Write a Cover Letter will be presented on South Campus in the SSTU Texas Room 2-3 p.m.

April 21 SE career and employment services will sponsor the Need–A-Job/Get-A-Job fair in the Main Commons from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

April 21 Women In Science, Women Out of Science will be presented by Dr. Andrea Schweitzer for a lunch lecture in the Center Corner, NSTU 1615A, at 12:30 p.m. Call 817-515-6644 by April 19 for reservations.

April 21 Dr. Pamela Marcum will speak on cosmic forensics in a program titled Understanding Galaxy Evolution by Examining Galactic “Remains” in College Hall, NCAB 1111, at 7:30 p.m.

April 22 The second annual CAD Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the hallway and some classrooms of the South Campus Engineering Technology Building. The event will highlight the CAD program and software will be demonstrated.

April 23 The NE College Democrats will meet in NSTU 1204A at 12:30 p.m. for an organizational meeting.
