Letter to the editor
Dear Editor:
Regarding
U.S. should rethink plans for new Iraq (April 2), I would like to
say first off that I totally agree with the reporter's thoughts on this
whole idea.
Yes, we (USA) should help the Iraqis rebuild
their country after ousting Hussein, but we should teach them (those
who do not know how to read and write) how to do so, and teach them
(if they are to understand and become a democratic like country) democracy.
I am, however, against telling them how to
do things, being as they are not (by nature) a democratic country. They
are an Arab nation; thus, they have a different way of doing things.
I just wanted to have my point to go in replay
of the article.
