TCC offers alternatives to printed schedules
by Misti McNeese, Reporter

Since 1967 TCC has mailed class schedules to Tarrant County residents.
However, this year's state-mandated budget cuts would not allow TCC to provide this service to Tarrant County residents and students.
TCC was asked to cut its current budget by $3.4 million. Most of the budget cuts are coming from print publications.
A half-million schedules are mailed each semester. TCC will save $300 thousand by not mailing the summer and fall schedules.
Students will have three alternatives to receiving summer and fall schedules.
Students who want to plan classes the traditional way can visit a registrar's office to receive a printed schedule.
Technophiles can view schedule information online at www.tccd.edu/schedules.
Students who prefer both methods can download and install an off-line, integrated schedule and catalog from the same Web site.
The third option is a new service provided by the district this year. It is know as a synchronized-web publication.
Once downloading and installing from the TCC Web site is complete, students may find course descriptions and schedules, search for key words and phrases and plan their schedules, all off-line.
Students have three options to register for classes: on-line, in person or via phone.
Early registration for summer one ends May 11, and regular registration is May 12 through June 1.
Summer two regular registration is June 16 through July 8.
Early registration for the fall semester is June 16 through Aug 3, and regular registration for fall is Aug 4-24.
For more information, contact the registrar's office or visit www.tccd.edu.
