Aug. 27-28 Back to School/Back
to Work Job Fair will bring various recruiters to the SE Campus.
The two-day job fair, sponsored by career and employment services, will
be 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Main Commons.
Aug.
28 The career center on South Campus will sponsor Ten Steps to Planning
Your Career, a seminar to guide students through the process of
following a career path. The seminar will be 2-3 p.m. in the SSTU Texas
Room.
Sept.
3 Tina Jenkins will present lgniting Success, Extinguishing Fear
on South Campus in the SSTU Living Room. Jenkins will ask participants
to consider the barriers that keep people from reaching their goals.
Then she will provide guidelines for moving beyond the things that hold
people back. The 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. session is sponsored by Women
in New Roles.
Sept.
3 Students can learn about reducing conflicts at Balancing Multiple
Roles. Flo Stanton, South Campus nurse, will discuss role awareness,
techniques for balancing those roles and ways to handle any resulting
conflicts.6-6:45 p.m. in the SSTU Forum Room. The free seminar is open
to all students.
Sept. 9
The South Campus Career Center will help students create a marketing
tool in Resume Writing, a job search seminar. Students will learn
step-by-step guidelines to develop a professional resume and the ins
and outs about E- Resumes. The free seminar is scheduled for 2-3 p.m.
in the SSTU Texas Room.
Sept. 9
Clif Dobbins will present Time Management, a seminar for students
who want to learn how to get more done in less time with better results,
the organized way. This session will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. on the South
Campus in the SSTU Texas Room.
