Freshman Diaries follows UT fish

(KRT) R.J. Cutler has wrangled both Bill Clinton ("The War Room") and Roseanne Barr ("The Real Roseanne Show"), but then working with people who haven't outgrown all their adolescent issues may just be his gift.
The Emmy-winning producer and director is back in the truly teenage trenches this season with Showtime's Freshman Diaries, which follows a group of freshmen at the University of Texas through their first year. Though film crews followed the students around the clock, a dozen of the kids also participated, recording video that became an integral part of the series.
In all, some 17 freshmen form the "cast" as they encounter alcohol, drugs and one another, and being honest was the most important thing to those involved.
That honesty makes Freshman Diaries a tough show to turn away from.
