Fishing tourney to aid local area

The Fort Worth Branch of Prevent Blindness
Texas will hold its annual Fishing for Sight Bass Tournament.
The proceeds from the fishing tournament will be used to
support the sight-saving programs of Prevent Blindness in the Fort Worth
area.
The first of a proposed annual tournament will be Saturday,
Sept. 27, at Eagle Mountain Lake-West Bay Marina.
This open charity tournament will be 6 a.m.-3 p.m.
The entry fee of $145 per boat includes launch fee, post
tournament meal and two free raffle tickets to be placed in a drawing
for other prizes.
First prize for the heaviest combined weight of five live
bass is $2,000.
Cash prizes will be paid through 10th place (based on a
100 boat entry).
In addition, the person catching the largest bass wins
$225.
One raffle ticket drawn will win the holder a three-day
guided bass fishing trip in Mexico (one of three lakes).
Another winner receives a Hummingbird Tour Series Fishfinder.
Proceeds will benefit Prevent Blindness in the Fort Worth
area.
