NW Campus Texas Organization of Mexican American
College Students and the South Campus Latino
Student Union participated in the annual City of Fort Worth Diez
y Seis de Septiembre parade Saturday in downtown Fort Worth.
The Black
Legacy Student Organization and Student Developmental Services will
hold a holiday fundraiser Sept. 30- Oct. 25. Proceeds will go toward
adopting a family for Thanksgiving. Tickets to win a TV can be purchased
for $1 from club members. The drawing will be held Oct. 27 at 3 p.m.
in the SE Campus Main Commons.
Today
Students and community members should dress professionally and bring
resumes to the South Campus Career/Job Fair. Employers will interview
for part-time and full-time positions 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the SSTU Dining
Room.

18 The NE Campus counseling center will host Test Your Best/Study
Skills in the College Hall (NCAB 112), 12:30.-2:30 p.m. Students will
learn how to keep their mental focus for greater success.

23 South Campus counseling center will present Stress-Coping with
Pressures of School, Work and Family, with counselor Sandra Johnson
in the NSTU Texas Room 12:30-1:30 p.m.

24 Connie Alexander, NW counselor, will present Anxiety, 12:30-1:30
p.m. in C-112 on NW Campus. She will tell participants how to recognize
anxiety and depression, how to deal with them and where to find help.

To Transfer Later noon-12:45 p.m. in SEE 130. The seminar is part of
the SE counseling Student Success Workshops series.

The workshop will help students improve their resumes in the ways employers

might attend Pathway to Success... Personality, College Degree, Career
on NW Campus in C-112, 12:30-1:30 p.m. The seminar will cover why personality
types influence career choices.

26 Poets and poetry fans should attend A Poetry Explosion 7-8:30
p.m. SE Campus North Ball Room. Food and drinks can be purchased. Sponsored
by the Black Legacy Student Organization, the event will be repeated
Nov. 21. All proceeds go to buy angels for a Christmas Angel Tree.
