SE plans beach party to mark summer's end

Summer is not officially over until SE Campus has its annual beach party.
Sponsored by the student development services, this socializing event is free for TCC students. The festivities will begin Thursday, Oct. 2, at 12:30 p.m. and last until 3 p.m.
Because it is held outdoors on the volleyball courts, on the southwest side of the gym, many activities are planned to create a fun environment for students to have a good time, Nita Haliburton, SE student development coordinator, said.
"There will be games and a volleyball tournament," she said.
No reservation will be needed to enjoy the free Subway sandwiches or the assortment of drinks and cookies for dessert, Haliburton said.
Scheduled to entertain is Fenway Park, a male trio rock band straight out of Berkley, Calif. The band will be playing songs from their new album available including "Girls Just Leave," "Letter" and "Land of Miracles" available at www.fenwayparkmusic.com.
For more information on the event, contact Haliburton at 817-515-3595.
