Seminar ties personality/career

One decision many college students encounter is which career they will pursue.
Personality Types: a Key to Understanding, presented by Dr. Shelly Cavin, coordinator of special services on the NW Campus, can provide the answer.
The seminar will consist of a short personality test, followed by a PowerPoint presentation and small group interaction if time allows, Cavin said. The presentation will also cover the personality types defined by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and will assist students in reaching a decision about which career field to go into.
The main goal of the MBTI is to derive the personality types of people and to help them apply their personality to their career.
Cavin said her main goal for the presentation is for students to realize their personality characteristics and understand themselves better.
Students who have not decided on a career or are interested in making a career change would benefit most from this speech, Cavin said.
The presentation will be held twice-12:30-1:30 p.m. or 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in C-112 on the NW Campus.
