Counselor to provide test guidance
THEA Preparation will help ready students for the
Texas Higher Education Assessment test.
Presented by the NE counseling center, this THEA (formerly TASP) seminar
will be Wednesday, Oct. 15, 12:30-2 p.m. in the NSTU Galley.
Students will acquire helpful suggestions, Web site
links and resource materials concerning the THEA, Anita Peters, counselor
and workshop presenter, said.
The similarities and differences between the TASP
and the THEA will be discussed.
Peters also will introduce factors involving preparation,
expectations, myths and restrictions of the THEA.
Peters said the number of students struggling to complete
courses continues to increase.
“We counselors are like detectives … we
have to figure out how to get you over and around this obstacle,”
she said.
