Isolationism direction for new democrats
by Keith Ludwick, Reporter

I had always been led to believe the Democratic Party represented the common man. I always thought it stood for basic human rights, civil liberties and equality. I was wrong.
The democrats of today have become the voice of isolationism. The afore-mentioned rights they stand for apply only to Americans on American soil.
This point is proven on a regular and continuous basis when they stand around fancy podiums under the guise of an official debate. However, no true debate takes place. The event is nothing more than a convenient excuse to spew their vindictive partisan rhetoric. To what end?
Anyone who truly stands up for human rights and the general easement of suffering should be applauding the war in Iraq.    Saddam Hussein’s regime used torture, rape and murder to intimidate and silence anyone who might have dared to oppose his leadership.
In my opinion, if you stand against this war, you do not stand for human rights. You are defending evil.
Partisanship has nothing to do with it. Iraq, as well as the rest of the world, is a better place without Saddam in it.
Yet the presidential hopefuls continue to rant and rave about being against the war in Iraq. That is nothing to be proud of.
Similar attitudes allowed Adolph Hitler to put Europe in a strangle hold. Have we learned nothing from history?
If you continue to do what you have always done, you’ll continue to get what you’ve always gotten.
I am tired of evil little dictators holding the world hostage. Obviously, the new Democrats are perfectly content to allow such atrocities to continue occurring.
But that’s all right. We all know that if you are not an American, you are less than human and deserve none of our cherished rights.
In the face of the relentless, oftentimes baseless attacks, the Bush administration has shown steadfast character and dignity.
What did the president know and when did he know it?
The president knew then that America is worth fighting for. He knew then that terrorism must be stopped and dictators who support terrorism must be deposed.
What did the Clinton administration ever do for the safety of our country?
What did the Clinton administration do when our ship was bombed in Yemen and our trade center was bombed in New York? Nothing.
When it comes time to vote, I’ll decide then whether I believe in freedom for all or freedom for a few.
From what I have seen lately, I think the choice is pretty clear.
